In New York City with TURO (formerly Relay Rides) a Peer to Peer Car Sharing Community

It was great to spend five days in beautiful New York City producing a new video for the San Francisco based company TURO.

Shot with two cameras, Canon C100 and Canon 5D Mark II, Director of Photography Stephan Dalyai and myself drove all over town into different neighborhoods of NYC including Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and into New Jersey.

The weather was beautiful and we got fabulous B-Rolls of the city during the day and night. We also shot a great selection of interviews for the client.

The reward of those long hours of filming, driving and walking was getting an authentic and famous pastrami sandwich for lunch (not mentioning hot-dogs and corned-beef sandwiches) from the old time Lower East Side Katz’s Deli established in 1888. The best Pastrami sandwich on rye bread ever! Unfortunately for your taste buds, the video is all that you’ll get to see this time.

About Turo:

TURO: Founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Francisco, Turo is a car rental marketplace where travelers can rent any car they want, wherever they want it, from a vibrant community of local car owners. Travelers choose from a totally unique selection of nearby cars, while car owners earn extra money and help fuel their adventures.

A pioneer of the sharing economy and travel industry, Turo is a safe, supportive community where the car you rent is part of a story, not a fleet. Whether it’s an F-150 truck to help out on moving day, a Tesla for a luxurious weekend away, or a classic VW bus for a picture-perfect road trip, travelers rent the car and own the adventure.
