The event will offer a chance for attendees to bring holiday cheer to the less fortunate children of southern California, while being surrounded by the original artwork and inviting ambiance of The Kona Gallery. Many art pieces will be discounted to encourage donations. We invite everyone around the Southern California area to join us for a night of giving and art appreciation. To participate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $5 to the event. Toys must be in their original packaging. Please note that toy guns or weapons cannot be accepted.Since 1947, Toys for Tots has been collecting toys for and delivering toys to children. Now in its 64th year, the organization boasts almost 20 million toys delivered to close to 8 million children, with the overall hope that its gifts encourage children to become responsible and productive citizens in the future. The Kona Gallery and Photojournalism Center was launched by Scott Mc Kiernan in Oct. 7, 2009 and hosts exhibition receptions monthly, with a dynamic rotation of photographic and mixed media art in its three exhibition spaces. In addition, the center hosts a variety of educational lectures and aims to be a space to expose individuals to photography and art from local and international artists.
